WELCOME TO

PORTLAND SEAFARERS MISSION

WHO WE ARE

The Portland Seafarers Mission is a non-profit organization. Its primary purpose is to provide services to the seafarers who come into the area without partiality of race, religion, economic or social condition.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The Center's aim is to cater to the needs of seafarers arriving at the Port of Portland, Oregon, without bias based on race, religion, or socioeconomic status. Our mission is to embody the love of God visibly and publicly by offering spiritual guidance, healthcare assistance, emergency aid, liaison with authorities, and addressing any other needs that may arise. We pledge to assist seafarers who, due to new federal security measures or other constraints, are confined to their ships, by dispatching personnel to offer companionship, facilitate communication with their families, conduct worship services upon request, provide counseling, and offer individual spiritual and emotional support, creating a welcoming and friendly environment in our port. Furthermore, we are dedicated to arranging transportation for seafarers requiring access to essential destinations such as shopping areas, communication facilities, and other necessary locations. Thus, we fully commit ourselves to this cause, trusting in God's provision as we rely on the generosity of those who are willing to support the Seafarers Center of Portland.
